All products from Meyer´s house of food are manufactured under the watchful eye of Claus Meyer. Throughout the years
Claus has developed a wide range of high quality food products for example jam, marmalade and fruit vinegar.
This is all made from first class specially picked ingredients which are in most cases Danish.
These products have received a warm welcome both with amateurs, chefs and gourmands and they have proven to be a good supplementary in the great flora of food in Iceland.
The apple juice (Æblemost) is a good example of the high quality products imported from Denmark. It is pressed cold and has no added sugar. The apples are grown in the fields of Vigmosegards in Lilleö, the smallest of inhabited islands in Denmark with only 15 people.
Meyers Madhus also has very ambitious thoughts about their pickled vegetables. They make, for
example, organically grown red cabbage with apples and allspice, small cucumbers with pepper, hops
and applecider and beetroot with blackcurrant, horse radish and apple vinaiger.
Last but not least we import from Meyers the fantastic apple- and plum syrup which is the
perfect addititive in all serious cooking. The syrup is also a great sweetener in a bowl of
breakfast, to pour over pancakes and scones or to glassere cheese, for example camembert.
The products from Meyers Madhus can also be bought in Hagkaup.
